How to Be a Party Girl, Signed

[Warmly Inscribed] Montandon, Pat. How to Be a Party Girl. First Edition, 1968. Book is in very good condition; dust jacket is in very good minus condition—minor fraying to jacket’s upper spine. Book is inscribed, “To Gordon—who really gives the greatest parties!! Enjoy! Pat Montandon.”

In this gem from the 1960s, socialite Pat Montandon intersperses autobiography with advice on entertaining from her experiences in pre-Tales of the City-era San Francisco (she was actually the basis for one of the characters). Montandon went on to entertain in her Michael Taylor designed penthouse high above the city, but in this period, she was all pep and creativity, brimming with ideas that won’t break the bank. Fun.
